This clip was designed specifically for installing a glass panel in a window. You attach these clips to you window frame, and set your panel between the two parts of this clip. The clip is adjustable from 0" to 1/2", so it can hold a thin sheet of glass (or whatever) or open wide enough to take a zinc or lead came framed stained glass panel (or whatever).
They are made from very sturdy plastic. You probably only need four, but you might want six or even eight if your panel (or whatever) is especially large.
